Whilst creating a new virtual server on Virtualmin, you get this message:
"Failed to create virtual server : New virtual server has no IP address! Perhaps Virtualmin could not work out the system's default IP."
It used to work all the time.
Unable to detect network interface name
This could happen when you’ve added a new network card and the current network card’s name cannot be read anymore.
Go into Virtualmin admin, System Settings (scroll down), Virtualmin Configuration
Click Network settings concetina flyout menu.
Check the Network interface for virtual addresses
tab.
On this system was set to ENS6
. Change to Detect Automatically
. Save changes.
If that doesn’t work, go to a terminal and find out the network card name. Use that instead of Detect Automatically
.
BIND Issue?
If you have this issue when using BIND in Master/Slave, you could try the following:
Webmin -> BIND -> Cogwheel barely discernible top left -> Default master server IP for remote slave zones

THIS WORKS.
THANKS A MILLION!
